And the race is on. Crozet resident Brad Rykal announced he will be running for the White Hall seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Running as an independent, Brad’s main thrust according to his press release, will be holding Albemarle County accountable for providing the infrastructure needs of the county. When the original Crozet Master Plan was approved and implemented, county leaders at the time told Crozet residents, you accept a massive increase in population from approximately 2,500 residents to just over 12,000 residents, and the county would supply concurrent infrastructure. Little did the residents of Crozet know the county’s definition of concurrent was not quite in accordance with Mr. Webster’s definition of the word; “existing, happening, or done at the same time”. I for one am glad the issue of infrastructure will take a front seat in the contest. Here is Brad’s web address: www.bradforsupervisor.com
